Getting to the Venue

Here is a map of Manchester and Salford showing the meeting venues; normally these are the Renold Building or the Weston Building on the University of Manchester Sackville Street Site. Please note the entrance to the Renold Building is from the railway viaduct side, where they will then be signs directing you to the meeting room.

If you are travelling by car you can park on-street or off-street, but unfortunately you can't park on campus.

On-street, there are numerous pay and display parking bays situated on and around Sackville, Whitworth, Chorlton, Aytoun and Charles Streets. These spaces are FREE after 6pm, when you can also park on most single yellow lines. Before 6pm you will have to pay and display, but only until 6pm.

Off-street parking is available at the University's multi-storey car park on Charles Street. There is currently a £3 charge for 3 hours parking.

If you are using public transport to come to one of our meetings, then the Renold Building (or Weston) is just a short walk from Piccadilly railway station for trains and trams, or Piccadilly Gardens and Oxford Road for buses. The free number 1 and 2 city centre Metroshuttle buses can also drop you off very close to the venue. These are especially handy if you are coming in from the other side of the city centre, although please note they only run until 7pm.

Details of public transport in Greater Manchester, including the free city centre buses, can be found at www.gmpte.com. This site also contains details of the various Day Saver, Metromax and Rail Ranger tickets that are available for unlimited off-peak travel in and around Greater Manchester.

For cyclists, there are a number of stands available by the Security Lodge, on Sackville Street to tether your cycle to.
